THE RES2 PROJECT

To reach the 2030 objectives for energy efficiency in buildings, we need a workforce equipped with the necessary digital and green skills.

In Italy today many of these competences are stills lacking, both among design professionals and in construction/installation and building maintenance companies.

RES2 project, funded by the EU LIFE Programme, will support Decision Makers, companies and professionals in the industry as well as VET providers in taking the necessary steps to develop and formally recognize the digital and green skills more required by the market.

OUR METHOD

  • SUSTAINABILITY We are not re-starting from the beginning: RES2 will update the results of previous researches and EU projects (ARISE and BLUEPRINT project reports, ecc).
  • NETWORKING AND COLLABORATION RES2 tackles a complex problem, driven by economical/political/technological and legal factors. The solutions described in the Roadmap report will emerge from 18 months of desk analysis and continuous dialogue with all sector stakeholders.
  • FLEXIBLE SKILLS RECOGNITION The current system of skills recognition doesn’t meet the needs of a continuously changing market: RES2 will elaborate a new, flexible and dynamic system of skills recognition, that brings a real value to workers, companies as well as to Public Administrations.

WOMEN IN THE BUILDING SECTOR

The presence of women in the building sector is still extremely low: in order to reach RES2 final objective, we need to overcome the extreme gender gap registered in the construction industry.

RES2 project will work to:

  • Analyse best practices for promoting female presence in the construction industry
  • Highlight among women the opportunity that digitalization and green competencies represent for their inclusion in the building sector
  • Promote the debate about this topic at national level, via workshops and interviews.
